In March I received an email from Malindo Air for their inaugural media trip to Kota Kinabalu Sabah but I couldn’t make it. After that, Malindo Air makes waves by flying off to more destinations in Malaysia and its first International route to Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was mentioned that Malindo Air is planning to expand its route to India too.
If you are not sure what is Malindo Air is, they are the newest Malaysian owned airline in Malaysia since March. It is a joint venture between National Aerospace and Defence Industries (NADI) (51%) of Malaysia and Lion Air of Indonesia (49%). The name “Malindo” is derived from the names of respective countries: Malaysia and Indonesia.
