Michael Jackson MJ Gallery at Ponte 16, Macau

There is something to cheer for Michael Jackson fans in Macau. If you are a big fan or admirer of King of Pop, you should make your way to MJ Gallery at Ponte 16. It is the first Michael Jackson’s gallery in Asia and it is a permanent exhibition at the casino resort, Ponte 16.

The gallery exhibits more than 40 coveted items of Michael Jackson memorabilia. My visit to the gallery cut short due unforeseen circumstances but I enjoyed myself even though I’m not a big fan of the King of Pop.

On top of the interior design, MJ Gallery has ten pieces of iconic MJ memorabilia including the cream leather rhinestone glove he wore for his first Moonwalk performance on television.

Jacko’s glove was sold to Hoffman Ma, deputy chief executive of the casino, at New York’s Julien’s Auctions at a whopping US$350,000 — eight times the auctioneer’s minimum estimated price.

If you have time, you can also chill out at the MJ Café located a floor below the gallery. Remember to get the MJ memorabilia in the souvenir section. Don’t go back empty handed!
