Rayong Thai in Taman Danau Desa

A few weeks ago, my friend brought me to Rayong Thai Food in Taman Danau Desa. The reason is simple, authentic Thai food and cook by Thais. While the restaurant appearance might look ordinary, they are usually packed with customers. That’s a sign for good food.

There were a couple of us and we wanted simple Thai food. The Thai waitress took our order and it wasn’t long our food came.

The first dish is the Clear Tom Yum Soup. I won’t go details on how much seafood is hidden within the soup but rest assured; the taste of the soup was good. The price of this pot of Tom Yum is only RM 18, reasonable pricing.

The other must order is Thais’ favourite, Fish cakes. You can’t go wrong with these. I’m sure many love these fish cakes when you dine in Thai restaurants.

Another must order dish is their Steamed Fish with Lime and Chilli (RM 35.90). Fish was steamed to perfection and their lime and chilli soup was palatable.

My friend makes a special order of stir fried with long beans. Nothing special but it is still good.

Lastly, we ordered the prawn omelette similar to our “Foo Yong” omelette minus the onions. There is nothing to shout about it.

Overall, the food in Rayong Thai Food is comfort food. They serve authentic Thai food, nothing fusion and nothing fancy about it. The price of the food is reasonable and there is no harm dining in this restaurant. At least now you know there is one Thai restaurant in Taman Danau Desa.
