Dayumm Pork Burger Penang

Makes no mistake; most of the burger stalls in Malaysia are using Ramly burgers. They are the king of burger stalls until this few years there are other brands emerged as well as the new trend of burger bakar. However, the taboo of having pork burger stall is broken by a group of friends in Penang.

Meet Morgan and his buddies started with this crazy idea in setting Dayumm, one of the few pork burger stalls in the country. They take turn to take care of the stall but they never lack the commitment of creating their own patty and creating their own sauces.

A few months ago, I went there to try out this new pork burger craze in Penang. To make it short, I ordered the Complete Dayumm for RM 10. It comes with usual pork patty with egg, cheese and bacon. This is the best you can get from here.

The pork patty is quite thick and I understand they want to give good food to their customers. When you have the whole lot, you can go wrong with egg, cheese and especially the bacon, it is hard to go wrong with the food. Please bear in mind, most of the ingredients are homemade from scratch and even the buns are specially made for them. I enjoyed the burger and there are rooms for improvements.

I heard they are opening a second outlet and I’m proud with these Penangites. They sell food for quality and of course for profit but it is all done locally. You won’t see any foreigners cooking these burgers for sure. Thus, I always feel proud to see young men like them venturing into food business even though it is just a stall. You can feel lots of passion in their food and I wish them all the best.
