Shopping Malls CNY Decoration in KL 2014

Mid Valley

Mid Valley shopping mall is named as such because it is located in the middle of Klang Valley. It is one of the busiest shopping mall in KL. Mid Valley is located beside The Gardens shopping mall and houses three hotels; Cititel Hotel, Boulevard Hotel and The Gardens Hotels and Residency.

Mid Valley offers a complete shopping experience with supermarket like AEON and AEON Big, departmental stores like AEON and Metrojaya. It also houses the biggest cinema in Malaysia, GSC cinema. There is also a gym and a few food courts.

This year’s CNY decoration is not as creative as past years with colourful traditional Chinese doors erected at the main concourse area. There are festive stalls selling CNY items but other than that, there is nothing much to look forward.

Pavilion KL is our favourite CNY Decoration Shopping Mall in KL 2014

Pavilion KL is strategically located in the golden triangle of Bukit Bintang and offers a luxury shopping experience to shoppers. It is one of the “complete” shopping malls with departmental stores like Parkson and Tangs, GSC cinemas, restaurants, pubs and bars and supermarket Mercato.

I’m not sure what the theme this year as their decoration this year is stunning! Parts of Pavilion KL are decorated with loads of Chinese lanterns (tanglung) and peach blossom flowers. You definitely fit in to the mood perfectly with the decorations.

In the concourse are you must go to the ever popular “crowd pulling” carousel. They brilliantly used the same carousel for Christmas by repainting it to another colour. How clever. Same trick, different colour and looks completely new for shoppers.

Overall, I believe Pavilion KL is the best this year. Of course, this is based solely on my opinion and it is subjective.

I will be around KL for this Chinese New Year before flying off to Sydney for my first trip of the year. Happy Chinese New Year and I wishes everyone a joyful, wealthy and healthy horsey year.
