Breakfast for Champions Wood and Steel, The Strand Kota Damansara

What is the breakfast for champions? I have the answer for you. Apparently there is a café in The Strand, Kota Damansara is offering Champ’s breakfast (or Champion’s breakfast). The place is called Wood and Steel and it named as such because they sell furniture and art.

If you are looking for a café with great ambience for coffee, Wood and Steel is that café. The café is beautifully designed to a hybrid of art gallery and café. That is something you don’t see often in Malaysia.

The café is located at the The Strand Kota Damansara. The address is at 33G, Jln PJU 5/20E and it is opposite Giant.

As you enter the café, you will be wowed by the clever use of wood furniture to beautify the interior. If you appreciate décor and art, you will love this place.

So how’s the food?

Café Latte at RM 10. Even though I read good reviews on their coffee but it did not impress me at all. It is better than average but nothing more than that.

Champ’s Breakfast at RM 15. The breakfast for champions is made of sausages, breads, scrambled eggs and baked beans. The portion is less than a champion’s but the taste is recommendable. Ordinary sausages, butter and herbs spread toasted bread is good, scrambled eggs are above average and they put fried shallots (and secret ingredients) to create a crunchy texture to the baked beans.

Breakfast for champions is short of my expectation but they are still one of the better ones. It is comfort food but the décor and ambience definitely fares better. To be fair, I have not tried their other dishes so there are still things to explore. By the way, their food is HALAL.
