Nak Won Korean BBQ Ampang

Strangely, I am not a big fan of Korea cuisine as I have little knowledge on their food. That’s why there is little information on Korea cuisine on our site. However, when it comes to Korean BBQ I have no complains.

In Business Avenue Ampang Jaya or also known as Korean Town of Ampang, there are many Korea restaurants and supermarkets located there. One of the highly recommended restaurants for BBQ is Nak Won Korean BBQ Ampang.

They are located at A 11-1-1, Jalan Ampang Utama 2/2 and they are fully air conditioned. There is nothing fancy about décor of the restaurant but they have very friendly staffs.

Any BBQ food you order comes with five or six small plates of side dishes. All of these side dishes are refillable and that is the portion for a person. If you order two BBQ items, you will get at least ten side dishes.

 
We ordered quite a lot of food for dinner and we had duck, pork and unagi (eel in sweet sauce). My favourite is unagi and to be frank this was my first time BBQ unagi. If you are a unagi lover like me, you should come here for their BBQ.

We didn’t order beef because some of my friends can’t consume beef due to religious believe but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our dinner. Thus, we tried duck for the first time and it was enjoyable.

We also ordered the pork for BBQ and it was really good. Maybe it was the food or it was the company but having a group of friends at BBQ restaurant is always fun and full of laughter.

The owner of the restaurant complimented us with an egg omelette for free. Usually you get a plate of fruits for free in Chinese restaurants but this was my first time getting a free omelette from a Korea restaurant.

Great services and affordable prices, Nak Won is sure a recommended restaurant for Korean BBQ. I loved their BBQ unagi and the great hospitality of the staffs there. Will go back there again.
