Xin Hao Tat Freshwater Prawns Noodle

This is probably the cheapest freshwater prawns noodle or “sang har mee” in Malaysia. A few months ago, Xin Hao Tat restaurant opened at Bandar Puteri Puchong replacing a Bakuteh restaurant. Bandar Puteri Puchong is popular with its numbers of restaurants and eateries. There are at least five dim sum restaurants and eleven steamboat restaurants in the area excluding other food outlets.

The competition between restaurants are fierce in Bandar Puteri Puchong and as one of the newcomers, Xin Hao Tat offered the best ever deal for “sang har mee”. It was RM 15 for a plate of “sang har mee”, the cheapest you can ever find in Kuala Lumpur (and probably Malaysia).

It was a crowd puller and you can see many tables ordering the “sang har mee” and of course you will try other food as well. In their latest promotion (since last week), they pulled another stunt. This time, “sang har mee” with a drink at RM 13.90 (except weekend dinners).

Sang Har Mee

I tried their “sang har mee” in a few occasions and it was pretty decent. They deep fried the noodle and topped with a decent size of freshwater prawn and the sauce. The taste is above average, you just can’t complain much with this kind of price.

La la with superior soup.

I enjoyed their version of superior soup even but it could be better. Most important thing of all is their la la is fresh and the taste of the soup is above average.

Deep fried pork ribs

You can’t go wrong with fried food and as expected the deep fried pork ribs are good. The meat is tender and the taste is good.

Whether you enjoying the “sang har” mee or other dishes, food prices at Xin Hao Tat restaurant are extremely affordable. In general, the food taste is above average but it compensate with their price tags. I will definitely go back there again for my “sang har mee” crave.
