These three restaurants will definitely bring joy and excitement for the local food scene. When there are big boys coming into the local scene and if they can make it successful, we will see more International restaurants coming in for sure. They are:

Red Lobster Kuala Lumpur
If you are a huge fan of seafood, you are going to scream for this. Red Lobster, the world largest seafood restaurant will open its first outlet in South East Asia in Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant will be located at Intermark Mall
On Monday, the doors to the first Red Lobster restaurant in South-East Asia will open at the Ground Floor, Intermark Mall (opposite Ampang Park Plaza and next to Double Tree Hilton Hotel).
The chain has more than 700 restaurants worldwide and some of their popular dishes include Maine lobsters, crabs and other seafood.
We are big seafood lover and Maine lobsters are definitely something to look for. Since we are spoilt by the local seafood restaurants, Red Lobster will be a great addition to our local food scene.

Lot G-17, Ground Level, Intermark Mall, 348, Jalan Tun Razak, KL.

Tim Ho Wan Kuala Lumpur
If you have no idea about Tim Ho Wan, it is the cheapest Michelin “One Starred” restaurant in the world. In this few years, they have franchise outlets in Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan and now Malaysia. The Malaysian franchise holder is under the same group of Sushi King. The outlet is replacing the BluMed restaurant and it is schedule to open in November 2014.
Tim Ho Wan outlets are usually packed with long queue that requires waiting time of hours. It will be interesting to see whether it can bring the tradition to this new outlet.
Furthermore, Tim Ho Wan will bring Hong Kong style dim sum to our local Chinese food scene. The variety and taste of the Hong Kong style dim sum is slightly different than the local ones. The question is will you queue up for hours for Tim Ho Wan?
No, I will never queue for more than 20 minutes no matter how good it is.
Great thumbs up on the upcoming hype restaurants openings in KL!
I went to Nobu and enjoyed the food as much as the atmosphere – you need to go asap 😉
