Budget Studio Apartment Rental in Insadong Seoul
Budget Studio Apartment Rental in Insadong Seoul
My recent ten days trip to Seoul changed my perception about this beautiful city. I visited a couple of places in Seoul and it reminds me a lot of the cities in Japan and Taiwan. The people in Seoul are friendly and walking around the city is easier with public transportation like the subway train.
Of course, there are plenty of accommodations choices available in Seoul. There are many boutique hotels, budget to luxury hotels, apartments and studio apartments. Since I will be staying one night (for extension) with my friend, we prefer to have a studio apartment with two huge beds with great location (near the Seoul subway station) as well as near tourist attractions or places of interest.
I booked via Airbnb.com. Airbnb.com is founded in August of 2008 and based in San Francisco, California, Airbnb is a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world — online or from a mobile phone.
You can get an accommodation at any price point, in more than 34,000 cities and 190 countries. You can rent a room, an apartment, a villa and even a castle for a day to a week, even for a month.
Before you start, you can register with Airbnb. Next, you can search your city of interest, key in your dates and how many pax and the accommodation icons will pop up on the map.
Each accommodation comes with pricing, descriptions and reviews. Do read the reviews to get honest opinion on the hosts.
After reading the property’s description, please read the reviews by previous guests. These are the comments by guests and these are honest reviews by real guests. Guest satisfactions also reveal many criteria of the property so please do read this as we made our decision by reading through most of the comments.
Then, only we contacted the host and the best part of Airbnb is you get to know the host and communicate with them especially for us who travelled to Seoul for the first time. We wanted a host that speaks English so he/she can communicate with us well.
We booked our studio apartment at Insadong for only RM 261 for one night for the whole studio apartment. It is located a stone throw away of Anguk Station Exit 5. Due to the privacy of the host, I will not reveal the exact building of the apartment but it is near the Exit 5.
The studio apartment comes with two big size beds that can easily fits for 4 persons with one bathroom toilet. The apartment is spacious and it comes with a mini kitchen, FREE WIFI, LDC TV and air conditioner/heater. Thus, it is very bright, clean and cozy as the host takes care of the apartment properly.
What is in Insadong?
Insadong is a neighbourhood in the Jongno-gu district of Seoul. The beauty of Insadong is the hidden alleys of this neighbourhood that comprises of restaurants and bars while the main street is occupied by modern galleries, tea shops, food and beverages outlets as well as shopping outlets. This district is used to be the largest market for antiques and artworks in Korea. You will find Insadong a pleasant place to venture, shop and for some real good food.
Our stay was hassle free and we were blessed with the convenient stay in Insadong of Seoul. Sunny is an exceptionally friendly host and I do not mind booking with her again.
