Jamie’s Italian Perth Australia
Jamie’s Italian Perth Australia
To Jamie Oliver fans out there, you can find his restaurants in most major cities in Australia like UK. On my recent trip to Perth, I visited Jamie Oliver’s restaurant Jamie’s Italian at William Street.
This is not my first time visiting Jamie Oliver’s restaurant as I visited his other type of restaurants in UK. However, there is still excitement visiting his restaurant even though it is a franchise restaurant in Perth. I went to the Perth’s outlet with a few friends for dinner. It is rewarding to be early as it is packed just minutes later.
For starter, we have Crispy Arancini.
Crispy Arancini is stuffed risotto rice balls with sweet red chillies, mozzarella, spicy arrabbiatta sauce and parmesan. We enjoyed the crispiness of the rice balls and it goes well with spicy arrabbiatta sauce. This is enjoyable.
Next is Fried Three Cheese Gnocchi
Fried Three Cheese Gnocchi is crunchy gnocchi with a friery arrabbiatta dip. We should have ordered something else as this dish and the crispy arancini is quite similar especially with the spicy arrabbiatta sauce.
For mains, we have Black Angel Spaghetti
Black Angel Spaghetti is squid ink pasta, scallops, chilli, anchovies, wine and capers. We loved the texture of the squid ink pasta but the taste overall is quite ordinary though.
Prime Strip Loin
Prime Strip Loin is 250g pasture-fed Aussie Black Angus strip loin, topped with truffle butter.
We ordered medium rare and it is cooked to perfection. The fragrance of the truffle butter and the soft texture of the black angus strip loin, we enjoyed this.
Blackberry Pavlova
Mascarpone cream, macerated seasonal berries, smashed hazelnut praline with a drizzle of dark chocolate. How could this go wrong?
Epic Brownies
This is the signature dessert of Jamie’s Italian. It is warm fudgy brownie with amaretto ice cream & caramelised amaretti popcorn. If you are chocolate brownie lover, you order this. This is as epic as ever. The warm fudgy brownie is delicious and it compliments well with the ice cream and the popcorn. You can easily order another plate of this.
Overall, the food is decent but the price of the food is on the high side. The service is good and you definitely need to book early as it is packed during dinners. If you are a big fan of Jamie Oliver, this is the place you should visit in Perth.
