IOI City Mall Review
There is a new shopping mall in town and it is bigger and larger than ever. It is IOI City Mall, a brand new lifestyle and entertainment shopping mall with two blocks of office towers and a 5 star hotel. I visited the mall before their opening and you can read at IOI City Mall Putrajaya.
The mall is located at Lebuh IRC, next to IOI Resort City and it is near the Serdang Hospital and UNITEN. You can definitely spot the mall along the SKVE highway. The mall is not small as it has 8 million square feet built up area with over 7000 car park bays.
Even though they are newly opened, the mall is packed with people. Maybe it is school holiday but the mall is really packed and I was having hard time getting a seat for dinner!
While some of the stores and shops are still renovation, I believe more than 50% of the shops are up and running.
The mall also created lots of buzz with Olympic size ice rink as well as the new playground District 21. I didn’t manage to enter District 21 but maybe another time.
I find the mall is quite easy and comfortable to walk around as it has high ceilings as well as GSC cinemas as well.
For those who didn’t know, Chef Wan. Yes, the Chef Wan will be opening his first restaurant in Malaysia after his first venture at Plaza Singapura. His restaurant is set to open in April 2015. The complete tenant list is as below.
