Are you getting tired of the same old hotels in Penang? Check out this new mansion boutique suites at China Street. Opened just last week, Palm Mansion Boutique Suites offers a unique staying experience in the heart of heritage precinct Georgetown.

The Palm Mansion Boutique Suites is located at 76-88, China Street or also better known as Little India. It occupies the upper floor of the row of the heritage shops and they have limited suites.

They have two types of suites available. The usual suite comes with single King size bed or duplex with two beds (one single and one King size bed). Each suite comes with its own bathroom with water heater standing shower, towels, fridge and LCD TV with Cable Channels.

I booked the duplex suite and it comes with two floors. All the doors are wooden and they use the padlock to lock the doors which is quite unique.

The upper floor of the duplex comes with a King size bed and the lower floor comes with a single bed. They try to keep to design simple and vintage. Take note there is not even a single nail is used to create the stair.

I stayed one night with my friend and even though it is located at the roadside, the noise level is okay. It is quite quiet at this part of Georgetown.

They provide continental or Oriental ala-carte breakfast.

They are currently running a promotion of RM 200 for the basic suite and RM 250 for the duplex suite. I am not sure how long the promotions will runs but they are definitely not expensive. During weekends, rooms are hard to come by and Palm Mansion Boutique Suites will be a great option to choose. There are more parking bays at night and they are near many tourist attractions such as the Kuan Yin Temple and also the Chulia Street.
