SM TOWN at COEX Artium Experience

This is definitely good news for KPOP lovers. Earlier this year, S.M. Entertainment officially opened its first multi-purpose culture space, SMTOWN at COEX Artium.

SMTOWN is a five storey building at COEX Artium. The first floor is the entrance, second floor is the store or souvenir shop, third floor is studio, fourth floor is café while the fifth floor is the theatre.

SM Entertainment is one of the top three entertainment companies in Korea. The have many prominent KPOP artists include EXO, Girl’s Generation, ShiNee and Super Junior. The company also manages a number of actors, including Go Ara, Kim Min-jong, Kim Ha-neul, Lee Yeon-hee and Kim Ian. Hence, SM Entertainment also co-publishes Avex Trax releases for Japanese artists such as Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro, and Koda Kumi, as well as Johnny’s Entertainment acts like Arashi and KAT-TUN.

SM Town Theatre is a large-scale Panavision screen where visitors can enjoy a mix of holographic and live performances. We watched the preview of the KPOP musical School of OZ and also the presentation video of SMTown as below.

SM Studio is a virtual space offering KPOP fans an educational experience of SM artists. Trust me, KPOP lovers can really go crazy here! There are plenty of things to offer as in the video above.

It is shopping time!

At SM Store, you can get authentic SM artists souvenirs and also music albums. If you are big fan of EXO, Girls Generation, Super Junior or Shinee, you can really go crazy here. There will be also a 3D printing available soon!

If you plan to visit this, do expect to spend a few hours venturing around and also watching the hologram concert.
