Levain Boulangerie Patisserie Kuala Lumpur

Levain Boulangerie Patisserie or simply Levain is a high class or “high-so” (Thais called it high society) bakery restaurant located at Jalan Delima Off Jalan Imbi. The beautifully bungalow converted restaurant is often packed with local and foreign customers as it offers a great ambience and good food in the middle of the city.

They offer vast varieties of breads and pastries lead by their Japanese baker and Australian patissier. Thus, their breads and pastries are baked fresh daily with their signature stone oven.

I visited the restaurant a few times and I have many friends who enjoyed visiting the restaurants for meetings there or even enjoying tea time. The place is charming so you do get a lot of customers snapping pictures of the restaurant.

I was there some time ago with a friend killing time before our meeting. We ordered something really simple but enjoyable.

Cream Cheese Danish and Caramel Nut Danish

The left is the cream cheese Danish while the right is caramel nut Danish. Both are sweet and tasty and you won’t be complaining the generous amount of cream cheese in the Danish as well as the macadamia nuts drizzled with caramel. Simple food but you can taste the quality of the pastries.

Chicken Karaage Burger

I am not sure this is from a seasonal menu but the Chicken Karaage Burger is something you should look for. Chicken karaage is Japanese version of fried chicken, deep fried to perfection, texture of the meat is tender and juicy. It is sandwiched in between lightly toasted bun with butter and served with salad and chips. Well, you can’t go wrong with fried food.

Café Latte

After all the food, it is time to enjoy a cup of café latte and chit chat with my friend.

Even though Levain is considered a high class bakery restaurant, the prices of the food is still reasonable. The food is good and you pay for quality food here.

Please don’t come during peak hours as finding a parking lot will be challenging.
