Yarang Ancient Town is the remains the oldest communities in the history of Southern Thailand. The location is at GPS Coordinate of 6.76069, 101.30762, near Ban Yarang School. Please use the GPS coordinate as the road signs directs to the main road of 4061 only. A few locals guided me to the Yarang Ancient Town. I met quite a few friendly locals in Pattani.
The Yarang Ancient Town housed in a small building. I went there late and I was the last one around. The building is not huge and these are one of the remaining ruins of Yarang Ancient Town of Langkasuka.
It is not a large site but only parts of the ruins are display here. If you look closely, the bricks are small and similar to some of the ancient sites in Siem Reap.
There is no entrance fee and you definitely need to drive here.
