Where is the best place to stay in Blue Mountains? In my opinion, Fairmont Resort in Leura, Blue Mountains. The award winning resort is located in Jamison Valley of UNESCO World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains National Park is one of the upscale resorts in the area.
The resort offers leisure facilities and conference venue and it is located beside the Leura Golf Club, a great place to stay for golfers.
The beautiful resort is also a popular destination for romantic getaways, weddings, staycation as well as business retreats.
I stayed at the resort some time ago with my mother for our holiday visit to Blue Mountains. She was stunned by the first impression of the resort. Please take note Fairmont Resort is not a new resort but they refurbished the resort recently and it didn’t look old at all.
While the interior is spectacular, the resort offers a very calm view of the greens, part of the Blue Mountains National Park. It is great if you have time to take a short walk around the property. It is all about the nature and the fresh air, just some of the perks of Fairmont Resort.
Our room, yes the room is huge but importantly, it is very clean. It comes with two King size bed, easily fits for four persons. If you look out from the window, you can see the trees and the scenery.
Staying for two nights are not enough, I wished I could stay one more night as the bed, the room and the resort is really comfortable.
The property comes with two swimming pools by the lake. There is an indoor swimming pool and also an outdoor swimming pool. If it is chilly, the indoor swimming pool is always ideal with a small Jacuzzi pool.
We were out of the resort most of the time venturing Blue Mountains. There are plenty of things to do in Blue Mountains especially venturing some of the local restaurants and cafes. You can find awesome food in Blue Mountains, you just need to go the right restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay in Fairmont Resort and even though many referred the property as old but it doesn’t look old at all. We find the design, service and comfort at its best and also not forgetting the awesome breakfasts we had in their restaurant.
The hop on hop off bus stopped at Fairmont Resort if you don’t intend to rent a car for self drive. Taking a taxi in Blue Mountains is not advisable as it is very pricey.
