The Vijitt Resort in Phuket Heavenly Villas
The Vijitt Resort in Phuket Heavenly Villas
If you are visiting Phuket and stayed in Patong Beach all the time and you complained about the crowded beach and colourful night life, then you should consider staying in other areas.
Phuket is a huge island and there are more than a dozen beaches on the island. One of the quieter areas is Rawai Beach, it is located at South East of the island.
On my recent trip to Phuket, I stayed at The Vijitt Resort in Rawai Beach. It is definitely away from the busy touristy areas and you can find this resort a true escape.
The resort is built within the tropical surroundings and its unique architecture is elegant with distinctive Thai styles. The eco-friendly resort focused on greenery and you can find many natural materials in the resort such as using trees as fences rather than the usual concrete walls.
It is a huge resort with a long history. It has more than 60 years of history but they rebuilt every on scratch a couple of years ago. The owners decided to rebrand and rebuild The Vijitt as it is now. It offers more than 60 units of private villas with different types and designs but offer nothing but luxury, comfort and relaxation.
I stayed at their Garden Pool Villa, a private holiday villa that comes with a private pool, a huge bedroom and bathroom. Thus, their villas have Southern Thai style interiors featuring soothing earth tones and large windows resulting in a serene contemporary space with all the modern amenities required for a relaxing stay. This is ideal for honeymoon goers or couples who wants a romantic getaway.
I stayed 2 nights at The Vijitt and it is definitely not enough to enjoy the facilities or experience the charm of the resort.
The resort has its own beach and it is called the Friendship beach. It is long stretched of quiet beach but it is not suitable for swimming but the resort offers free shuttle services to ferry guests to nearby quiet beaches such as Naihan beach.
The swimming pool is a beauty. Located by the restaurant, it offers a beautiful reflection of the resort and the picture says it all.
They have two restaurants, one Thai and one International restaurant to cater the guests. While the breakfast offers a huge variety of local and International food, you will be spoilt for choices.
If you want a romantic dinner and probably a great place for wedding proposal, ask the staff to arrange a pool side dinner. With candle light dinner and shined by the stars, this is the ambience many couples will dream for.
The V Spa at The Vijitt is a haven of tranquillity surrounded by nature where your cares drift away with the soothing strokes of experienced spa therapists. The letter ‘V’ represents the five senses; sight, smell, sound, taste and touch that are stimulated with our wide range of treatments and massages that can be enjoyed in solitude or with a special loved one. I enjoyed the spa very much especially a day of traveling around the island.
The Thai owners and friendly staff are genuinely service minded and provide a warm welcome and personal service to all guests. And with top-class recreation facilities and dining, The Vijitt Resort is an ideal retreat for romantics and families seeking a unique and memorable stay in Phuket.
