Jalan Alor Lim Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice

There is one Hainanese Chicken Rice which is really good in Jalan Alor but no one writes about it. The chicken rice stall opens during lunch hour only and it is located in Lim Kee Local Chinese Various Food Restaurant. The restaurant is located at No 33, Jalan Alor and it is a “food court” in the afternoon while it is a seafood restaurant in the evening. Hence, I read quite a number of good reviews for their food at night.

So I was introduced to this place by a friend who works nearby. It is usually packed during lunch hour and they do sell fast. Thus, lunch hour is packed and I was there early before the crowd fill in the restaurant.

I ordered a plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice for single portion (means one pax) with the chicken 2^nd portion (thigh area) as it is tender than other parts.
The chicken rice was fragrant and not forgetting the chili sauce with ginger.

I guess the picture tells a thousand words. The chicken was cooked perfectly and I love the taste. It wasn’t too rare and it wasn’t too cooked. Just nice.

I was told the Hainanese Chicken Rice is from Singapore but who cares as long as the food is good. I don’t mind coming back again.
