Kaki Corner Taman Billion Cheras Review

There is a craze for steak houses in Cheras around 20 years ago. Back then there are only a few steak houses in Klang Valley and the established brands are pricey. Thus, there is a few restaurants started to create affordable steak houses in Cheras and Kaki Corner is one of them and they were one of the popular ones.

Kaki Corner is located at No. 20 & 22, Jalan Siput Akek, Taman Billion, Cheras. It is on the little hill at the Cheras Roundabout and opposite Tesco Extra (formerly Makro). There is a row of shops and there are a few steak houses there and also the kidney dialysis centre. Most of the steakhouses are open only for dinner from 5 pm till late and you can easily spot Kaki Corner as one of the popular steak houses in the area.

The restaurant is still the same. You can either dines in the restaurant or dine outside by the roadside. Families usually like to dine inside the restaurant while the young ones prefer outdoor.

We checked out their menu and luckily the prices didn’t really go up after all these years. Most of the steaks are still under RM 20 per plate and it is quite affordable we must say. We ordered the Grilled Mushroom Chicken (RM 15.90)

The grilled mushroom chicken is grilled chicken and topped with mushroom sauce. The chicken is slightly over grilled but I enjoyed it. The chicken is well marinated with the usual mushroom sauce. The mushroom chicken is served with fries and coleslaw.

Next is Grilled Lamb Chop (RM 19.90)

You get a handsome portion of grilled lamb chop and topped with its homemade sauce. Nothing to shout about but this is enjoyable. This is served with fries and coleslaw.

Overall, we enjoyed the food in Kaki Corner. The food is good and the price is reasonable. It is one of those restaurants you can bring your family for steaks without burning a hole in the wallet.
