Margaret River Farmers’ Market
Margaret River Farmers’ Market
Margaret River is a town in the South West of Western Australia. It is one of the top tourist attractions in Western Australia. The town is located in the valley of Margaret River, approx. 277 kilometres south of Perth.
Margaret River is popular for its wine production and it attracts around 500,000 visitors annually. One of the highlights of Margaret River is the Margaret River Gourmet Escape. I visited the event last year with the entourage with Malaysia top celebrity chef Chef Wan.
In Margaret River, there is a farmers’ market happening at Margaret River Education Campus on every Saturday all year round. It is a morning market so it opens from 8 am to 12pm (noon). During the months of December to March, it will be every Saturday from 7.30 am to 11.30 am.
It is a “community type of market” with stalls on an open field. It is not the Asian market and I enjoyed walking around to see the local produce from the local farmers.
Of course, you can find more than “green” in this market.
There is street performer.
There is a coffee van.
There are food stalls.
There are really good bread stall and also other local produce like fruits jam.
The community here is very friendly and you can find many Malaysians here too. Most of them migrated here from decades ago.
I love the feeling and ambience here. You can really walk around and shop for food and souvenirs too. If you happen in Margaret River, why not drop by and check out this Margaret River Farmers’ Market.
