Morningwood Café Subang Review

If you know what morningwood means, you will be laughing your hats off. Otherwise, you can google up the true meaning of morningwood.

We found out the Morningwood Café from Thanis, a fellow blogger friend from Brunei. The café is located in Subang at 73-1, Jalan SS 15/8, Ss 15, 47500 Subang Jaya. In short it is located opposite Asia Café Subang.

It is on the first floor and you can immediately spot their huge branding on the staircase wall. The café is packed even during weekdays even though there are newly opened, we were impressed. The interior of the café is simple and clever. You don’t need much renovation these days, just innovations. We love the simplicity and also the drawn images on the wall.

It is a pay first serve later café. The staffs are friendly and the menu is something you read carefully. It is one of those menus that you can find names like Sasha Grey, Maria Ozawa and Hamsap. The names ring the bells, you might get morningwood for sure.

We didn’t order the breakfast as we prefer to order their signature dish and pasta. It is a norm for cafes in Klang Valley to have their all day breakfast menu but only a handful did a great job.

Penne sautéed with beef bacon strips and diced onions in rich based cream sauce finishing with parmesan cheese. The pasta is beautifully cooked as the sauce is thick and savoury. We enjoyed the pasta as the sauce is rich but it could be too rich for some. Bonus if they use real bacons but that didn’t happen.

The Morningwood

You won’t get any food as hard as the Morningwood but you will get pan fried marinated boneless chicken thigh in secret sauce served on a toasted ciabatta. The boneless chicken tight is tender and well marinated and it didn’t disappoint us. Just don’t be fooled by the names, they are misleading for good reasons.

Nutella Milkshake

Nutella Milkshake. The milkshakes here might not be the best but they are definitely taste louder than Johnny Rockets. How can you go wrong with Nutella?

We love the food and thank god this is not another one of those overrated cafes and over praised by bloggers. We love how they stamped their identity and creativity especially the names. The food overall is good and we definitely come back again.

Sadly, this is not a sponsored post.
