First Holland Sales Mission 2015 to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
First Holland Sales Mission 2015 to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
The Holland Alliance is pleased to announce its South East Asia 2015 sales mission at Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur. The mission events are part of a series of campaigns also held in several other countries, such as Brazil, China and Indonesia before ending in Malaysia.
In the event, the Alliance partners NBTC Holland Marketing, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam Marketing, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines are participating, as well as representatives of Netherlands’ tourist attractions targeting the Malaysian market among them are Henri Willig – Zaanse Schans, Royal Delft, Madurodam, and Zazare Diamonds.
It’s the first Holland Sales Mission to Kuala Lumpur and the aim of Holland Sales Mission 2015 is to highlight the Holland tourism industry to wholesalers and retailers in Malaysia and to stimulate the development of tour packages that are attractive and competitive for marketing to potential Malaysian travelers. The 2 day activities during the Sales Mission include Travel Trade Workshop, Media Conferences and MICE Specialist workshop that has gather over 150 leading industry decision makers across Malaysia to joint hand in promoting Holland as the next top destination.
“We always happy to support the tourism businesses in our activities and encourage sales mission participants to develop the market in Malaysia,” said Andrew van der Feltz, Director Business Development & Operations of NBTC Holland Marketing. “It is very important to maintain in good relationship with the Malaysian tourism industry and support the sales and promotion of Holland”
I was one of the few travel bloggers invited for the event together with fellow travel magazine friends. I met representatives from NBTC Holland Marketing, Amsterdam Marketing as well as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
One of the important things about the event is to understand Amsterdam and Netherlands more as a top tourist attraction. In Amsterdam alone, there are 72 Halal restaurants, hundreds of pork free restaurants and everyone speaks English. Thus, the best way to travel around Amsterdam is by cycling and they are best to visit all year round. Hence, there are plenty more to offer than just tulips during Spring season.
We hope to visit Amsterdam and Netherlands next year to understand, to discover and to promote them as one of the top destinations in Europe for Malaysians. Currently there are two direct flights from Malaysia with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Malaysia Airlines.
Thank you AviaReps Malaysia for inviting us to this important media event.
