This is another unique concept mall we discovered during our recent trip to Hong Kong. It is called SOLO Mall and one of our Hong Kong friends recommended us to visit as it is different than others.
The concept of SOLO Mall is similar to the rental box spaces concept in Japan but instead of renting box spaces, SOLO Mall rent out small shops. The idea is for young entrepreneurs to have their own shop without burning a hole in the wallet. Thus, online shops can have a small outlet to collect their items as space is limited in Hong Kong.
There are six SOLO Malls in Hong Kong. They are in Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay, Sai Wan, North Point and Aberdeen.
We visited the SOLO Mall in Sai Wan and it is located in 129 Connaught Road West. The Apple Dorm Sai Wan is located above of this SOLO Mall and they are only within three minutes of walk from Sau Ying Pun MTR Station.

- Their expertise is getting vintage old Japanese toy robots
- Owner can help order and search limited version figures in Japan
BAEM Concept (Shop No.: G009 )
- Fashionable Cap/ Hat from Korea at price around HK$250+
- They are available at ZALORA HK Macau
- Also available on Malaysian Online Fashion Shop
- This is their only shop in HK

- Handmade bread and cake with Gluten-free flour
- Imported of Cheesecake, Lemon tart and desserts from France
Vintage Store (Shop No. 87)
- Selling old HK style vintage and collections like cigarette can, old style soda bottles
- London bus, traditional fans, old style film poster and others
- The most valuable one: London Fire Brigade Model (Dennis F106 Pump Escape), worth around HK$6,000+
SOLO Mall shops are different from one to another outlet. Make sure you know what you plan to get first or call the outlets first before you visit the mall. Most owners have day jobs so they might not be around the shop during day time or on certain days. Remember to know what you want to get and make an appointment with shop owner before visiting them.

The concept is great for all entrepreneurs. In Malaysia also have similiar concept where small online entrepreneurs share a showroom.
The lane between the shoplots is really narrow eh. But looks like this place is great to find fashionable pieces 😉

Interesting mall concepts. Great to have an outlet for online shopping sites to get their products too. There seems to be many interesting places to check out in HK

interesting place to see.. it is like a small little hidden alley with all tiny bazaars/shop lots there with hidden gems to be found…
