Durian King TTDI Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur Review

Malaysia produced the best durians in the world. Names like Musang King, D24, Red Prawn and Black Thorn are some of the best durians you can find in Malaysia. We are durian lovers too and we spent quite a bit to get the best durians for our cravings.

There are a few durian stalls in the heart of Kuala Lumpur namely Imbi and Jalan Alor but their durian prices are skyrocketed and they cater mostly for tourists. Thus, recently we went to this new durian stall in Bukit Bintang. The name is Durian King TTDI, a new branch from their HQ in TTDI.

It is located behind Berjaya Times Square, opposite Shaw Parade in an open air car park (next to SMK (P) Bandaraya). Thus, it is also next to the famous Chinese soup stall, Keong Kee Herbal Soup.

It is off season now but when we were there, they had stock for a couple of days and thus we did taste some of their durians there.

We tasted Durian Musang King, XO, Jantung and D24. Black Thorn is not available at the moment.

Black Thorn has been voted as the best durian in Malaysia and it is only available in October each year. Thus, we had not the opportunity to try yet and the price per kg is extremely high too due to this reputation. Yes, we will come back for the Black Thorn!

Their durian Musang King is Grade AA. You can tell from the yellow colour as well as the thick flesh. One Musang King is never enough.

We also tasted their Durian XO. XO is often taste bitter after taste but truly enjoyable. The taste might not as strong as Musang King but we still enjoyed this.

Lastly, we also tasted their Durian D24. It has milder taste than Musang King but it is one of our favourites when it comes to durian. It is also cheaper than Musang King but never disappoint us in taste.
