I One Café Taman Supreme: Cendol Cake & Gula Melaka Banana Cake

Opened since 2014, the I One Café is one of the hidden gems in Cheras. Located in Taman Supreme, I One Café is just a stone throw away from the busy area of Taman Yulek.

It is a simple café nestled within the neighbourhood of Taman Supreme. Even when we visited the café around 4pm, the crowd is still going strong. You can find many locals enjoying cuppa of coffee while working on their laptops.

The interior is painted with grey and walls are decorated with all sorts of cups and pots. However, we were not there for coffee but for their cakes.

They have a few cakes that we wanted to taste and it is their popular cendol cake and gula Melaka cake. The waiter then recommended another hot item which is the Choco Choco Cake, a rich chocolate.

Choco Choco Cake (RM 6.50)

They will heat up the cake before we tasted it. It is a rich chocolate cake that will make you feel so guilty and sinful after having it. This is simple gorgeous.

Cendol Cake (RM 11.00)

The cendol cake is a mixture of cake and jelly. There are layers of the cake, coconut milk and gula Melaka (palm sugar) jelly. The taste is rich and the texture of the cake is soft. Even though there are no surprises on the taste, we enjoyed this.

Gula Melaka Cake

This is probably the best of the three cakes in our own opinion. With the rough sponge cake as base, the filling is creamy banana filling with top layer of crusted gula Melaka (palm sugar). This cake definitely will give you a sugar rush. Hence, we also love the different textures of the cake, the crunchiness of the gula Melaka, the soft texture of the cake and also creamy texture of the banana filling.

We didn’t check out their food and their coffee but their cakes are lovely. Will come back again one day for check out their coffee and food.
