Shasa Shabu Steamboat Pandan Indah: Value For Money
Malaysians love shabu shabu (steamboat). You can easily find shabu shabu in Klang Valley. Even though our weather is hot throughout the year but it won’t stop us falling in love with shabu shabu.
Recently, we went to one of popular shabu shabu outlets in Pandah Indah Cheras. It is recommended by our friends and this is not a sponsored review. It is located in 16 & 17, Jalan Perubatan 2, Pandan Indah opposite the Steven Corner Pandah Indah.
It is air conditioned, same concept as most shabu shabu restaurant. Pay first before you enter and there is a time limit of two hours. However, when we visited the restaurant, they didn’t chase us away so maybe during peak times (when the restaurant is packed). The two hours is based on the time on the receipt.
There are lunch and dinner buffet. The prices are as follow:
Lunch Buffet:
12 pm to 4 pm
RM 35.00 +
Dinner Buffet:
4 pm to 12 am
RM 39.00+
(No service charge)
Children pays half (90 – 140 cm)
Please take note this include drinks, fruits and ice cream so there are no hidden charges.
If you Like their Facebook Page and Check In, you will get either a FREE five pieces of scallop or FREE three pieces of sliced bacons.
They have seasonal promotions (if not mistaken) as we got half price for birthday month. We are not sure whether it is still available now.
It is the conveyor belt (kaiten) concept. The tables are spread nicely in between the kaiten and every person got their own electrical hot pot. It is convenient and hygienic then the conventional steamboat.
There are three types of soups available (if not mistaken) and they are herbal, chicken and tom yam (spicy and sour) soup.
Well, to be frank we love the idea of having the food in smaller portion in kaiten concept. Why? You get to choose what you want to eat in smaller portion. For many people, they tend to waste food, over take food. Please be considerate, this is a buffet and there are many other food available.
The food selection is quite good for a buffet below RM 40. You get fresh meat, some of the processed food like meat balls and such, fish fillets, fish, prawns, cuttlefish and even sushi.
There is a station for sliced meat. They have sliced pork, sliced beef, sliced lamb and sliced pork liver. You can take up to three plates at once and you can come back to take it anytime.
Their also the drinks section. Soft drinks, cordial, tea and plain water. Not too bad for the buffet price. No additional charges.
There is also the sauce and seasoning section. There are twelve of them.
Hence, there are six different type of ice cream flavours too. They are generous on their food, something that we like.
We definitely stayed more than two hours but it was a quiet weekday evening. Weekends and public holidays are often packed. We feel it is worth to come and eat here. Will definitely come back again soon! It is really value for money!
