Wayne’s Café Sri Petaling Review

The food scene in Sri Petaling is huge. With the new shop houses in Jalan Radin Bagus starting to be occupied, it feels like a labyrinth with many restaurants and cafes. One of the new kid on the block in this area is Wayne’s Café.

The café is located at 10, Jalan Radin Bagus 6 (the same row with the EPF building), the café offers western and Asian cuisine. It is run by a couple and the menu here is the creation of a retired chef who spent close to 50 years of professionally cooking. You can find many good old times Western cuisine menu such as roast pork, pork chop, pork knuckles and roast chicken.

We went there for late lunch after we hear good recommendations by locals there. It is comfortable cafe with simple clean design. It is one of those easy going café with friendly and smiley staffs.

Homemade Spring Rolls

We ordered some small bites as they recommended their homemade Spring Rolls. It is the traditional spring rolls wrapped with pork fat netting and this is hard to find as it is not easy to find and cook. You get seven pieces of spring rolls and they are well seasoned and deep fried to perfection. It is slightly greasy (like how it is like) and this is addictive. You can have it as its own or compliment it with chili sauce.

Signature Roast Pork

The main reason we are here is because of their signature roast pork. This is the similar version of Yut Kee’s famous roast pork but you don’t get to see them cut here. It comes with three slices of roast pork with roasted potatoes and vegetables and apple and brown sauce. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender and it comes with hints of salt after taste. The roast pork tasted well on its own or compliment with the apple and brown sauce.

Pork Chop

The pork chop comes two slices of pork chops with apple rings and vegetables. You can have the option of red wine sauce, garlic sauce, brown sauce or the black pepper sauce. The taste of the pork chop is decent, probably we expected more since the roast pork is so tasty.

Huang Shan Green Tea

For drinks, we prefer to have their premium Huang Shan Green Tea from China. We have changed our habits of drinking tea and water since a few months ago. This is a light and lovely Chinese tea and it compliments well with the food.

Wayne’s Café is a simple café that offers a comfortable setting ideal for family and friends. If you check their menu, the food pricing is reasonable and cheaper than city centre. For the food, we enjoyed the spring rolls and roast pork and we might come back again for their Asian food. We definitely come back for more.

Parking is not easy here but you can park at the covered car park which is just behind the restaurant as there are plenty there.
