Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Honeymoon Suite Review

When it comes to honeymoon, many will prefer for island retreats or beach resorts. However, we choose to do something special, why not a honeymoon or anniversary getaway in the city? Thus, we decided to have our anniversary (again) in Bangkok and we stayed in Anantara Sathorn.

Anantara is a familiar brand name in Thailand. They opened their doors fifteen years ago in the royal seaside retreat of Hua Hin and since then Anantara has grown into 35 luxury hotels around the world. Anantara is a not just a brand but it is identity of luxury, modern and experience.

When it comes to choosing the location of hotel on Bangkok, we tend to move away from Pratunam. We prefer to choose a hotel which offers an ideal location, great view of the city, close to public transportations and premier services and facilities. It is our anniversary and we prefer to have it quiet and special.

We reached the hotel late in the evening as we took the late afternoon flight with Malaysia Airlines. The rain in the city makes the traffic worst but we still reached the hotel within an hour.

The first impression of Anantara Sathorn Bangkok is the beautiful lobby. It didn’t take long for the hotel to sort out our check in.

Then, it is the surprise. The lovely people of Anantara Sathorn Bangkok upgraded us to their honeymoon suite. Don’t you just love the surprise? This is one of the main reasons why we kept on visiting Thailand. It is the upmost hospitality and service that never failed to impress us.

The suite comes with living and dining area, the sleeping area as well as the huge bathroom. Since we are at the high floor so we get the beautiful city view, we don’t mind that.

There are two flat screen TVs, one at the living area and one at the sleeping area. There is a working desk in the living area and WIFI is FREE.

The bed is elegantly decorated with rose petals and swans created by towels. How sweet is that right?

The surprise is incomplete without the Happy Anniversary Cake. It is a chocolate cake and we loved it. Had it for supper and with the night view of the city, what a happy anniversary gift!

They have a sun deck with infinity edge swimming pool. It is located next to fitness centre. Just get a pool towel and you can chill and relax here.

If you want to burn some calories after eating marathon in the city, you should hit their fitness centre. Maybe half an hour on the treadmill will burn some extra calories.

His creation, his skill shocked us as his masterpiece is shown on the dining plates. The presentation, the taste and the technique of cooking can be shown on the food. Most of the food here are simply too pretty to be eaten. Chef Adthavorn shows his passion in his food and you will be pampered with the journey of tastes.

Remember to book a table in advance especially during weekends if you want to have the spectacular sunset viewing at ZOOM Sky Bar & Restaurant. It is windy here at night and the view is breathtaking. The beauty of staying in Anantara Sathorn Bangkok is having this amazing city view just on the rooftop.

Many people asked us why we love to travel to Bangkok so much? The reasons are simple, the city is filled of good food, plenty places to shop, many attractions to visit and many wonderful hotels to stay.
