Gardens By The Bay Night Light and Sound Show

Tourism Singapore recently launched their new family travel campaign with a bunch of new Youtube videos. Singapore has been always our favourite destinations for decades until this couple of years. The exchange rate to Singapore is so high, it is the same to change to Australian Dollars. That’s why we have been traveling to other destinations such as Thailand, Macau, Australia and Japan.

However, there are still many free things to do in Singapore and one of them is Gardens By The Bay Night Light and Sound Show. It is called Garden Rhapsody and we were there earlier this year as we were invited to visit the Lion City by Skyscanner Singapore for Skyscanner APAC Content Hacker Gathering 2016.

During the day, Gardens By The Bay is scorching hot except you are visiting the domes (fully air conditioned). You super gigantic manmade trees in Gardens By The Bay. We highly recommend you to visit the Cloud Forest (for a small entrance fees). It is free to hang out around the area except certain places like the skybridge and the domes. The best time to visit the Gardens By the Bay is actually evening as you can slowly walk from Marina Bay Sands. They are located side by side.

At night, the Gardens By The Bay changed to a beautiful colour garden. With the breeze from the wind of the sea, you can find many tourists, locals, couples and families here.

There are two light and sound shows daily, one at 7.45 pm and one at 8.45 pm. We went to the 8.45pm after an early dinner.

The whole garden will turn to retro disco with lights and sounds show. We parked our camera for couple different of shots and videos. You can find many people around the area but just becareful of your belongings. No thefts happened but just becareful.

We stayed there for half an hour or so before we went to supper in Geylang that night.

The view of Gardens by the Bay is totally different from day till night so it is better to visit them during late afternoon and stayed there till evening. You can get plenty of awesome pictures if you do so. If not, it is still one of the FREE attractions in Singapore you shall not miss.

How to go to Gardens By The Bay

TRAIN & BUS

·      VIA THE CIRCLE LINE OR DOWNTOWN LINE

• Alight at Bayfront MRT Station (CE1/DT16)
• Take Exit B and follow the underground linkway
• Exit and cross the Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge into Gardens by the Bay

·      VIA THE EAST-WEST LINE

• Alight at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station (EW15)
• Take Exit C and head towards bus stop no. 03223 located at International Plaza, Anson Road
• Hop onto bus no. 400 and alight at bus stop no. 03371 along Marina Gardens Drive

WALKING HERE

• FROM THE HELIX BRIDGE TOWARDS THE ART SCIENCE MUSEUM

Follow the footpath which leads under the East Coast Parkway (ECP), which will bring you directly into Bay South Garden along the waterfront.

• FROM MARINA BAY SANDS
  Walk across the overhead bridge (Lions Bridge) located at Marina Bay Sands Hotel (open daily from 8.00am to 11.00pm), or take the underground linkway via Bayfront MRT Station
  (Exit B).

DRIVING HERE

• FROM EAST COAST PARKWAY (ECP) AND KALLANG-PAYA LEBAR EXPRESSWAY (KPE) IN THE DIRECTION TOWARDS THE CITY
  • Continue onto Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE)
  • Take Exit 3 onto Central Boulevard
  • Turn right into Marina Gardens Drive

• FROM AYER RAJAH EXPRESSWAY (AYE) IN THE DIRECTION TOWARDS THE CITY
  • Continue onto Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE)
  • Take Exit 2 onto Central Boulevard
  • Turn right to Marina Gardens Drive
• FROM OPHIR ROAD
  • Head towards Sheares Avenue
  • Exit onto Marina Boulevard
  • Turn left to Marina Gardens Drive
