Night markets are extremely popular in Bangkok. We visited many night markets in the city for the past few years. In total we visited many night markets but we only featured our 9 night markets. Our list excludes pop up night markets such as TGIFest, Neon Fest and Art Box pop up night markets. This is the latest updated night market list in Bangkok with updated address and location.

1.JJ Green Night Market

JJ Green Night Market or Jatujak Night Market is located next to Chatuchak. This is not the original Chatuchak Night Market. It is a ‘medium size’ night market selling vintage items, flea items, fashion and food.

They open from Thursdays to Sundays from 6pm till late. However, we do recommend you visit them after 7pm when the stalls are fully opened.

Since it just across Chatuchak Weekend Market, JJ Green Night Market is convenient and strategic to visit and to shop. Not forgetting it is also walking distance to BTS Mo Chit and MRT Chatuchak Park. In fact, you can see the night market on BTS Mo Chit Station.

The uniqueness of this market is you can find vintage items like flea market. Since the night market is not that huge, you probably take less than an hour to venture the whole area. There are quite a number of food stalls and restaurants in JJ Green Market.

The best way to go to JJ Green Night Market is by public transport. The night market is located next to BTS Mo Chit Station and MRT Chatuchak Park. You can easily take a taxi or order Grab or Uber from this night market.

2.Talad Rod Fai Srinakarin Train Night Market 

Talad Rod Fai or train night market is very popular among locals and tourists in Bangkok. Their first train night market is relocated to Srinakrin. Since then, the owner opened two more train night markets and they are Talad Rod Fai Ratchada and Talad Rod Fai Kaset Nawamin recently.

Talad Rod Fai Srinakarin Train Night Market is the largest night market compare to the other two train night market. It is also far from the city like their new Talad Rod Fai Kaset Nawamin.

Despite their distance, you can still find many locals and tourists visiting the night market. It is huge and there are a few sections in this night market. Some are indoor and some are outdoor.

You can find almost everything here from vintage, flea, fashion, accessories to food. There are hundreds of shops and stalls in Talad Rod Fai Srinakarin Train Night Market.

You can spend at least one to two hours venturing this night market. Thus, there are some bloggers named this as the hipster night market as there are quite a number of stalls and shops selling hipster fashion and accessories.

How to go to Talad Rot Fad Srinakarin Train Market

From On Nut BTS station, take a taxi to reach the Seacon Square. If not mistaken, it should be around 20 minutes and the taxi fare is around 100 Baht. The taxi will stop you at the opposite of the Seacon Square and you need to take the pedestrian bridge to cross over.

You can also order Uber or GrabCar from the On Nut BTS Station and also from Seacon Square.

3.Talad Rod Fai 2 Ratchada Train Night Market

Talad Rod Fai 2 or better known as Talad Rod Fai Ratchada is the second train night market under the same owner. The Ratchada train night market is our favourite among the rest as it is easy to visit and the size of the night market is ‘just right’.

The night market is strategically located behind Esplanade shopping mall and it is just a stone throw away from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT Station.

The concept of this night market is the similar to the rest as you can find almost everything here from vintage, flea, fashion, accessories to food. There are no shops in this night market but there are hundreds of stalls. Expect to spend at least an hour exploring the night market here.

Take MRT to Thailand Cultural Centre MRT Station. Take Exit no 3 and take left turn and you will see the Esplanade building. The Talad Rod Fai Market 2 is behind Esplanade.

4.Talad Rod Fai 3 Kaset Nawamin Train Night Market

Talad Rod Fai 3 Kaset Nawamin train night market opened earlier this year and it is the third instalment of the train night markets. This night market is located far from the city but near MRT Lat Phrao. The distance from MRT Lat Phrao to this night market takes at least 20 mins by taxi.

This is the ‘medium size’ train night market among the three train night markets and only 60 % to 70 % of the stalls are fully opened. The crowd here is mainly locals as the location is too far from the city.

It probably takes less than an hour to venture this night market and you still can find stalls selling fashion, vintage stuffs, accessories and food. There are a few row of restaurants surrounding the night market.

Don’t expect much yet from this night market and if you just want to visit for fun, why not? As we mentioned, only 2/3 of the stalls are opened and it is quite far from the city. Plan your trip well.

The nearest train station is MRT Lat Phrao and you can take a taxi from there. You can also take taxi from the city but it will cost more.

5.Hua Mumm Night Market

We found this night market by luck when the taxi driver dropped us to the wrong market and this is probably one of the best night markets ever in Bangkok. Earlier this year, we wanted to visit Talad Rod Fai Kaset Nawamin with AroiMakMak.com but the taxi driver couldn’t understand us and dropped us at this night market.

This is by far the most ‘happening’ night markets in Bangkok. The size of this night market is ‘medium’ and you can find many really good deals here. Thus, you can find really good food here too especially local snacks and local food. The best part is you can only find locals in this night market and not so touristy.

Expect to spend an hour venturing this night market and this night market is nearer to MRT Lat Phrao than Talad Rod Fai 3 Kaset Nawamin. Read our full review on Hua Mumm Night Market HERE.

How to go to Hua Muum Market Lat Phrao?

Exit in MRT Lat Phrao and take a taxi to Hua Muum Market. You also can take a taxi from Chatuchak. Tell the taxi driver it is near The Walk Kaset Nawamin for easier reference.

6.Saphan Phut Memorial Bridge Night Market

Saphan Phut is a popular night market among the locals. The name of this night market is called Saphan Phut or Memorial Bridge night market. The night market basically located below the Memorial Bridge and that’s how they get the name.

It is near the Flowers Market and located in Old Bangkok. The night market is located on the roadside and originally a night flea market. The night market spans to three to four streets of stalls and they open from 7pm till late. It is better to come after 8pm.

You can find mainly locals and the items you get here is cheaper than the other night markets. You can find stalls selling fashion, accessories, bags, vintage and flea items here. The quality of the things here caters for the local market and things here in general are cheaper. Expect to spend less than an hour venturing the stalls of the night markets here.

 

How to go to Saphan Phut Night Market:

The only way to visit Saphan Phut or Memorial Bridge night market is by taxi. We do recommend you to take Uber or Grab. The old Bangkok is pretty bad in traffic so some taxis are reluctant to go there. The nearest place of attraction is Wat Ratchaburana Ratchaworawihan (Wat Liap) and it is 15 minutes away to Chinatown or Yaowarat. Hope this will help you to get to Saphan Phut night market.

7.The Platinum Mall Night Market

The big question is where to shop in Pratunam at night? Well, this year Platinum Mall opens their own night market so their mall is still busy after 7pm. The location of the night market is right in front of the building and there are 40 shops selling different items such as fashion, accessories and food.

This is the night market to visit after the mall closed at 7pm and you are lazy to travel to other night markets. They do have different themes for the night market from time to time. If you just finish your shopping at Platinum Mall, why not just check out the night market for any additional shopping. You probably spend 20 minutes venturing this night market. 

How to go to Platinum Fashion Mall Night Market?

Take the BTS to BTS Chit Lom and take a twenty minutes of walking from the station to Palladium Night Market. You will walk thru the new Pratunam Skybridge Ratchaprasong Skyline Walk and reach Platinum Mall

8.Asiatique The Riverfront

Asiatique The Riverfront is one of the top tourist destinations in Bangkok since they open their doors in 2012. The concept of Asiatique is unique as they converted former docks and warehouses of the East Asiatic Company to shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets.

Asiatique is an open-air mall and they open daily from 5pm onwards. They are located next to the Chao Phraya River and the best way to reach there is by their free water taxi.

At night, the lights lit up Asiatique to one of the must visit places in Bangkok. You can find many shops selling fashion, accessories, souvenirs as well as bars and restaurants.

There is also a huge ferris wheel in Asiatique where you can have the view of the Chao Phraya river and the surrounding area.

Expect to spend hours venturing and shopping in Asiatique. Many couples as well as families love to visit Asiatique. At night, it is usually windy here as the wind blows from the Chao Phraya river. Asiatique is touristy but worth the visit.

9.Palladium Night Market

Palladium Night Market is the last night market in our 9 night markets to visit in Bangkok. We stumbled upon this night market by chance when we went to Platinum Mall Night Market. The night market is located outside of Palladium World Shopping Centre opposite Platinum Shopping Mall and Amari Watergate Hotel. They are located at the same street of Centara Watergate Pavilion Hotel in Pratunam.

Unlike other night markets, the Palladium Night Market stalls offer many DIY products. You can personalised your own bags or clothes with unique letterings and cute icons. We personalised a few clothes for our boys too.

The stalls offer many accessories on top of fashion and we really like their DIY personalised products. It is really good for souvenirs and as usual the prices are very affordable.

If you are staying in Pratunam area, remember to visit Palladium Night Market which is located outside of Palladium World Shopping Mall.

How to go to Palladium Night Market?

Take the BTS to BTS Chit Lom and take a twenty minutes of walking from the station to Palladium Night Market. You will walk thru the new Pratunam Skybridge Ratchaprasong Skyline Walk and reach Platinum Mall. Cross the road legally to Palladium World Shopping Mall.

The other way is by taxi, Grab or Uber.
