Have you been to Sukhumvit 26? Well, it is one of the up and coming places in Bangkok now. Located near Phrom Phong BTS Station (Emquartier and Emporium), you can find many cool hipster cafes and also places to stay in Sukhumvit 26. One of the places we visited this year is Casa Lapin at Oneday Hostel

Casa Lapin offers day long menu from 8.30 am to 10 pm. You can have really good breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner here. From Phrom Phong BTS station, it takes only less than 10 minutes of walking. Casa Lapin is a modern cool hipster café that is listed in many top cafes in Bangkok guides. They are located at the entrance of OneDay Hostel and there are two sections in this café.

At the front of the café is the classic wooden flooring and exposed red bricks wall interior. They have the mixture of leather and wooden chairs and sofas. It is all about design and comfort.

At the back of the café is the classy white interior. You can white walls with marble tables and sofas and leather chairs. As usual WIFI is free in the café and you can find many locals dining here as well as the hostel guests.

What we like about the design and interior of this place is it is comfortable and very Instagrammable. We found many Instagrammers came here just for photos and of course for the food. Well, we were here for the food and not so much for the photos. We heard too many positive reviews from our local friends and we just had to check it out.

So what we did we have for breakfast?

The Eggs pan and mix sausage comes with 2 fried eggs, assorted grilled sausages and potatoes sautéed with herbs. Just be careful of the hot pan. We enjoyed the grilled sausages and the potatoes sautéed with herbs. This is a typical delightful Western breakfast dish.

Their version of Cheesy Milky Eggs comes with 2 soft boiled eggs, chunky bacon, sautéed spinach with milk and cheese sauce. Well, we get two pieces of crispy bacon (real pork bacon) and the generous amount of spinach covered with soft boiled eggs, milk and cheese sauce. This is something different than the usual breakfast menu. If you big lover of cheese over the top of the eggs and spinach, you definitely need to order this.

The horse mussel is actually de-shelled la-la / clams. This is deep fried egg in horse mussel sauce served with toasted French bread.

In short, this is la la with egg omelette. We loved the la la sauce with tomatoes and the egg is deep fried to crispiness. Each and every single bite of the egg, you can get the crunchy texture and it went well with their freshly baked French bread (hidden by the egg). We feel this is good for sharing as it is too sinful for one person.

We can never complain a good cup of coffee in the morning. If you like the coffee art, you can request that too.

It is all about good food and experience at Casa Lapin in OneDay Hostel. The food prices are quite common in Bangkok if you compare to the other ‘hipster’ cafes in the city. Take the BTS train to Phrom Phong Station. Exit at Emporium and walk to Sukhumvit Soi 26. Walk along Sukhumvit Soi 26 for 6 minutes and the Casa Lapin will be on your left.
