Glamping in Singha Park Chiang Rai Review
Glamping in Singha Park Chiang Rai Review
We heard of the word camping but word is glamping? Glamping is glamourous camping and the luxury way of camping. I have camped a few times (abroad) and this is my first glamping holiday. I have visited Singha Park in Chiang Rai a few times, it is a social enterprise project and also a recreational park by Singha Corporation. Now, Singha Park is a popular tourist attraction in Chiang Rai and glamping holiday is their latest attraction.
Glamping holidays is not a new thing as it is quite common in many Western countries especially in Europe. It is not that popular in Asia because of our hot weather but since it is cooling during December to February in Chiang Rai, glamping holiday is ideal. The average temperature at night in Chiang Rai is below 20 degree Celsius thus it is really cooling and comfortable for glamping.
Glamping in Singha Park Chiang Rai is from 15 November 2016 until 28 February 2017. This is the ‘winter season’ in Chiang Rai so the average temperature is around 20 degree Celsius or lesser at night.
The Glamping package is from 2 Days 1 Night or 3 Days 2 Nights and you can choose either camping or stay in RV (Recreational Vehicle). There are only two RVs at the moment so it is usually fully booked.
For camping, there are couple room or triple room for three persons. For RV, it is for 2, 3 or 4 persons. The full package price details are as below.

That is what you read from the brochure and it is time for me to share my experience.
This is forth time visiting Singha Park within a year so I can quite familiar with this place. They have upgraded the facilities such as more toilets and the brand new glamping section with bathroom and toilets.
Once you check in at the reception tent, you will have the welcome drink. You will get all the vouchers together with the key to my camp. There is a padlock to lock my camp so it is quite safe. Hence, there are always people manning the glamping area and this is Thailand so it is very safe.
You will get a pocket WIFI and also a huge power bank. The pocket wifi is handy while the power bank is good enough for two days. If you use up the power bank just change it at the reception tent at no extra cost.
Plan your activities well so you can utilise all the time you have at Singha Park. Talk to the reception staff for the schedule so you can do all the activities during the day and enjoy the evening at the glamping site.
Let’s talk about the glamping site. The big difference between the camp and RV is there is toilet inside RV and of course RV is more comfortable. The camp on the other hand is not that bad too.
The camp is very comfortable as it comes with two beds. It is waterproof and each camp comes with a light. It is double layered camp and you can open the inner layer for ventilation.
There are not many insects during winter season but the camp comes with nettings. It is quite cooling at night so you don’t need a fan in the camp.
For bathroom and toilet area, there is a male and female section. This opens for 24 hours and there are towels and sandals in the bathroom. There is hot shower and also hair dryer available.
The toilet is very clean and it is manned by a staff 24/7. You can buy additional drinking water or juices here or even snacks. This bathroom and toilet is nicely done and that’s why it is called glamorous camping.
During day, it is best to do the Ziplining since it is included in the package. The Ziplining is very safe and it is handled with proper gears and professionals. There are two Ziplining spots in Singha Park and you can play both.
If you like to cycle, Singha Park is the most ideal place to cycle in Thailand. This is the training ground for most professional cyclists from Thailand. There are dedicated bicycle lanes in Singha Park and most of places in the park are not accessible by public cars or busses. That’s why it is very safe to cycle within the park.
Furthermore, you can also rent the family bikes. The two passengers bicycle with a baby seat at the back is very popular. You can enjoy the scenery and beauty of the park while cycling.
The farm tour is another attraction in Singha Park. Like I mentioned earlier, Singha Park is a social enterprise project so they hire the local hill tribes people and locals to work in the farms. For the farm tour, you can see and also taste some of the local produce. Everything here is organic so you can also try some of fruits from the farms here in Singha Park.
There is also an animal farm where you can get up close and personal with animals like giraffes and zebras. The animal food is free of charge and you can feed the animals or pet them. This is a popular attraction for families, couples and also children. The kids love to feed the animals.
Remember, you can have lunch at Barn House Pizzeria which is located a stone throw away from the glamping site. You can book a table or simply walk in. Barn House Pizzeria offers freshly baked pizzas as well as pastas. You can also try the fruit juices which is local produced by the farms in the park. I hear of many local produce in Australia and this is the same applies in Singha Park Chiang Rai. You can find local produce fruits, juices, teas and even ice creams.
For dinner, you will have the BBQ set menu at the glamping site and dinner at Bhubhirom Restaurant (if you stay for two nights). As the sun sets beautifully, it will become cooler and it is time to wear your sweater or jacket. It is quite chilly in the evening.
The BBQ set menu is lovely as there will be a Live Acoustic Band on the glamping site too. You can choose what you want to eat and the chef will BBQ for you. Just sit down relax and the waitresses will serve you. You get a variety of BBQ food and drinks of your choices.
For dinner at Bhubhirom Restaurant, you will need to book your table and the buggy will send you to the restaurant. It is a Thai set dinner (which you can choose) and this restaurant is popular for offering really good local cuisine. Enjoy your dinner here with a feast of scrumptious local food with a good old glass of Singha or Leo beer. After dinner, the buggy will send you back to the glamping site.
Breakfast is served at the glamping site. There is Western and Thai food selection for breakfast. You get fresh juices as well as pastries for breakfast. The breakfast is included in the glamping package.
What I enjoy about the glamping holiday is the whole package. The luxurious and glamourous way of camping, the facilities, the services and also the activities. The glamping holiday is ideal for couples, friends and families especially with children. You get to experience camping at the luxury way without the hassle of setting up tents or finding toilets. Everything is available for at the glamping site. Remember, the rates of the glamping packages include activities, food and lodging.
For inquiries, please email to [email protected]. Remember, the glamping period in Singha Park is from 15 November 2016 until 28 February 2017. If you never try glamping before, I recommend you for glamping holiday in Singha Park Chiang Rai.
