Visiting Kong Skull Island For The First Time in Vietnam
Visiting Kong Skull Island For The First Time in Vietnam
For those who have not watched Kong: Skull Island, we recommend you please do. We enjoyed the movie very much and it is different from the other King Kong movies you have watched before. The story revolves on the adventure in Skull Island. The movie is very enjoyable and the view is spectacular.
Where is Kong: Skull Island is filmed?
This is the interesting part of the movie. Most of the film is shot in Vietnam. Yes, Vietnam. When we watched the movie, we remember some of the places in that movie. We visited Skull Island before and it is Halong Bay Vietnam. Of course, there are also other places in Vietnam filmed for the movie such as Quang Binh, Phong Nha and Ninh Binh.
We visited Halong Bay in late 2012, the pictures here are taken at that time. It was winter and misty and cold.
The beauty of Halong Bay is it is near Malaysia and it is only a few hours bus ride from Hanoi. Flying from Malaysia to Hanoi and getting a day tour or package 2 days 1 night tour to Halong Bay is not expensive either. Halong Bay has always been one of the top tourist destinations for Vietnam for years.
We recommend at least one night stay in Halong Bay or more. At night, the sea is calmed and you get to meet many other travellers around the world.
What we like is to explore the caves in some of the islands in Halong Bay. Kayaking around Halong Bay to experience and feel the beauty of the area. Mesmerised by the natural beauty of Halong Bay.
If you plan to visit the scenery like you seen in Kong: Skull Island the movie, Halong Bay is one of the places you should visit. Watch the movie if you have not and there is a secret ending at the last end of the credits.
