Famous Durian Cendol at Durian King TTDI
We all know that the best durians in the world come from Malaysia. Indonesians can argue but the reality is we have better durians. We also have a popular dessert called cendol. Basically it is the Malaysian version of Korean bingsu with covered with evaporated milk and sweet thick dark palm sugar with ingredients like cendol (green jelly), beans, corn and others.
What if you mix durian and cendol together?
A dessert place did that in Shah Alam last year and the place was packed with long queue daily. We went there to check it and we queued more than two hours for that. We reviewed it at Durian Cendol at Rojak & Cendol Shah Alam Seksyen 24.
Durian cendol was very popular back and strangely not many people want to sell it. Durian King TTDI invited me last year to taste their ‘first attempt’ of durian cendol and it wasn’t satisfying. However, it didn’t stop them in improving their recipe and formula and now they have made their name for offering tasty durian cendol.
Recently, we went to Durian King TTDI to taste their final version of durian cendol. They are located at the open air carpark of TTDI market and usually open from late afternoon till late night.
A bowl of their durian cendol is RM 12 and it comes with generous amount of durian flesh. The taste of their durian cendol is pretty good and it goes well with the durian flesh. They sort of created their own durian cendol by having huge red beans and also durian flesh. We find that a bowl of durian cendol is good for sharing for two persons.
If you are still unsatisfied with the durian cendol, they do sell durian at premium price and also the most sought after award winning Black Thorn Durian.
Durian King opens from 2pm till midnight.
