Where to buy 1, 2 or 3 Days Tokyo Subway Ticket Unlimited Pass?
On our recent trips to Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Tokyo), we realised that we spent a lot on transportation like busses, trains and subway tickets. We believe many people are not aware that transportation in Japan is really expensive and that’s why you buy passes like JR Pass when you travel around Japan or within a certain prefecture in Japan.
The million dollar question is if you are traveling to Tokyo only, which is the best pass to get? Our recommendation is the Tokyo Subway Ticket Unlimited Pass.
There are 1, 2 or 3 Days Tokyo Subway Ticket and we recommend you to purchase the 3 Days option. For 24 hour ticket it is priced at 800 Yen, 48 hours ticket at 1200 Yen and 72 hours ticket at 1500 Yen. If you purchased the 72 hours ticket, you only pay 500 Yen per day!

We got our tickets from Klook.com as they offer the Klook Price Guarantee and you can get Klook credits that you can claim for other travel activities in Klook in the future. We also use Klook for our tickets at Universal Studios Japan, DisneySea and also other activities across Asia such as The House of Magic in Macau and more.
What we like about Tokyo Subway Ticket Unlimited Pass?
To be frank, paying 500 Yen per day is a steal considering the places you can travel with it in Tokyo. Just for your information, the cheapest fare one way in Tokyo Subway is 170 Yen one way. If you take four subways on a single day, it will cost 680 Yen and that is more you pay for the 72 hours Tokyo Subway Ticket. On average, we are taking at least 10 different subways in a day depending which place you visit in Tokyo. Some destinations will require 2-3 subways one way so you do the maths.
Please take note that you can’t use Tokyo Subway Ticket for JR trains, monorails and private subways like Toie Subway. You can always ask the train master before you enter the train station about the usage of the Tokyo Subway Ticket.
Get the 72 Hours Tokyo Subway Ticket Unlimited Pass and you save a lot of money. This is based on our experiences traveling in few cities in Japan.
