Malaysian tourist arrivals to Australia hits record high 400k
Malaysian tourist arrivals to Australia hits record high. From the official statement by Tourism Australia, there are 403,900 Malaysians traveling to Australia from July 2016 to June 2017. It is more a 13.3% increment than previous year of 356,600 Malaysians (July 2015 – June 2016). This makes Malaysia the 7th country with the highest tourists visiting Australia.
Congratulation to Tourism Australia Malaysia and all the Australia state tourism boards for this record breaking achievement. There are many challenging factors within the year. The exchange rates for Australian Dollar to Ringgit was AUD 1 = RM 2.98 in July 2016 and it is AUD 1 = RM 3.30 in June 2017. With the weak Malaysian Ringgit, Australia still manage to attract more Malaysians visiting Down Under.
The introduction of Malindo Air flights to Perth also see the increment of Malaysians traveling to Western Australia.
Credits must go to the Tourism Australia Malaysia and also all the Australia state tourism boards with endless creative and brilliant marketing promotions.
With more new attractions and events, Australia is one of the top places to visit from Malaysia. Not forgetting the attractive airlines deals from time to time by Malaysia Airlines, AirAsiaX, Malindo Air and Singapore Airlines.
Congratulations to Tourism Australia Malaysia again and can’t wait to visit Australia soon!
