Melbourne is the world’s most liveable city in 2017
The list of the World’s 10 Most Liveable Cities in 2017 is out and we have a winner. Melbourne wins it for the seventh consecutive year by the annual Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Global Liveability Index.
How do EUI’s Liveability Ranking rank the cities?
The EUI’s Liveability Ranking ranks 140 cities across the globe by five categories including stability, healthcare, culture, environment, education and infrastructure.
Melbourne is also world renowned for its coffee culture. In 2014, travel website Booking.com named Melbourne to have the best coffee in the world. In 2017, CNN named Melbourne as the second best for the world’s best cities for coffee.
The city is also known for its art, culture, music and food. Melbourne is the most visited city by Malaysians for years. Many Malaysians enjoyed Melbourne for its food, art and also the ‘four seasons’ weather.
We visited Melbourne for a couple of times and we loved the diversity of the food and also the convenience in staying in the city. You can always take the free tram service or just walk to places of attractions and many amazing restaurants.
