Have you heard of the Pink beach? There are only a couple of them around the world. The one that we visited is located on the Komodo Island in Indonesia. Yes, the famous island for the last living dragons on this planet, the komodo dragons. The komodo dragons are living legends and it is one of things you should do in the lifetime. Visiting the Komodo Island is not hard. You need to stay fly to Labuan Bajo in Flores. To do so, the easiest way is to fly from Denpasar Bali. From there, you can take day trips to Komodo Islands including visiting the komodo dragons.
When we reached the island, we saw the pink beach from far. Since it was a sunny day, the pink colour wasn’t that striking until we go near it. the pink beach is naturally created by nature. It is a mixture of the pink hues from red corals and the sand.
You might say the pictures are photoshopped and that’s why we included the video. You can definitely spot the pink color sand when you walk around the beach. there are two hills you can hike on this island and both located at the both ends.
This place is very Instagrammable. You can take nice pictures of the pink beach from the top of the hill or top view if you have a drone. we had our lunch here and you can swim here too. the water here is crystal clear.
This pink beach is usually a pit stop when you visit the Komodo islands off labuan bajo. you can fly to Labuan Bajo from Bali. the speed boat takes 90 mins from Labuan Bajo to Komodo islands. There is also another island part of the Komodo Island National Park and they are Padar Island Hiking Experience in Komodo National Park and Kanawa Island, The Maldives of Komodo National Park Flores
This is unseen Indonesia. Indonesia is a hidden gem that why they called it wonderful Indonesia.
Feels like visiting it…so calm, peaceful and nice.
