Mango Sticky Rice Kakigori at After You Dessert Cafe

Many people ask me where do I eat when I travel in Bangkok? I usually go to the few of my favourite restaurants and After You Dessert Café is one of them. They are famous for their Shibuya Toast and Kakigori (Ice shaving or ‘bingsu’). They have many outlets in Bangkok and I usually go to the Terminal 21 outlet as it is not as busy as the ones in Central World or Siam Paragon.

After You Dessert is one of the most successful restaurants in Thailand. They are listed on the Thailand Stock Exchange for selling desserts! I was lucky enough to meet the owners when they were in Kuala Lumpur and you can read it here (and yes they are planning to open After You Dessert Café in Malaysia).

I am a huge fan of their kakigori (ice shaving). Sometimes, they offer seasonal menu like this Mango Sticky Rice kakigori (and Mango Sticky Rice Toast). It is priced at THB 265 and it is good for sharing for two.

I was there with Mynn Lee (of SheWalksTheWorld.com) as we wanted to try this Mango Sticky Rice Kakigori and watch the video.

We were so excited to eat the kakigori and forgot to take photo and video of the sticky rice inside the kakigori. When you have good food, you just keep on eating it.

The Mango Sticky Rice Kakigori taste so good. The mango sauce is sweet and savoury and the cream with the ice shaving, we can have this every day! The sticky rice within the ice shaving offers a different texture to the powderish ice shaving. If you tasted After You Dessert Café’s kakigori, you will know what are we talking about. It is one of the best ice shaving desserts out there and that is why everyone loves them thus they are so successful in Thailand.

Talk is cheap, just go and try this Mango Sticky Rice Kakigori at After You Dessert Café in Thailand (other flavours are equally delicious too!). You won’t regret it, trust us!
