New Increased Indian Tourist Visa Prices for Malaysian Tourists

Are you planning to visit India soon? We hope you did your Indian Tourist Visa as the price will increase soon. As reported on TheStarOnline, the tourists visa fees for Malaysian tourists to India have increased.

Remember we had the same situation on last April when Indian Visa for Malaysian Tourists Increased 240%!!? We blogged about it here.

This taken many travellers by surprise and the official website of Indian High Commission Malaysia is not showing the new Indian Tourist Visa rates yet. We are sure there are many people are visiting the website for the clarification.


Let’s look at the new Indian Tourist Visa Rates for Malaysians starting 1st July 2018.

India’s eVisa increased from RM 200 to RM 320 with four months validity. The new eVisa fee started since 25th June 2018.

The six-months Indian Tourist Visa priced at RM 194.56 is no longer available. It has been terminated.

Indian Tourist Visa for One Year is priced at RM 462.56 (excluding service charges) and this is the over the counter visa.

New Indian Tourist Visa Rates for Malaysians starting 1st July 2018:

India’s eVisa = RM 320 (RM 200)

Over-the counter visa = RM 462.56 (excluding service charges) for 1 year

*Six-months Indian Tourists Visa has been terminated

We never visited India before and to pay RM 462.56 (excluding service charges) for a tourist visa, we might have to think twice. For Malaysians visiting India for the first time, please take note that you are required to apply a tourist visa and it is 462.56 (excluding service charges) now.

AirAsia offers many flights to various destinations in India and with this new increased Indian Tourist Visa prices, it might affect their loading.
