Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination 2019
Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination 2019
If you read our previous few posts, we have been blogging about Christmas Illumination in Tokyo for 2019. The Roppongi Hills Christmas Illumination and Mori Christmas Illumination ended on 25th December 2019. However, the Caretta Shiodome Winter Ilumination will be around until 2020.
We got to know about the Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination 2019 from our kkday tour guide after we went to Mount Fuji Day Tour from Tokyo. We were at Ginza and we took a walk to Caretta Shiodome and that takes us around 15 – 20 minutes.
It is good to walk during winter time as it is cooling and you can see the surrounding area. There is a bridge from Ginza to Caretta Shiodome (and there is a underground passage too). Check the Google Map and you can find a few subway stations nearby such as Ginza Station.
The Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination is happening from 14th November 2019 to 14th February 2020 from 5 pm to 11 pm. This means you still can impress your love one on Valentine’s Day 2020.
The Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination is happening at Caretta Shiodome Mall. This year’s theme is Arabian Nights and there will be two songs from Disney’s Aladdin movie.
There is no entrance fees and it is open for public. You just need to queue up and wait for your turn to walk into the Winter Illumination zone.
Each group will experience the Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination with the Aladdin song and then it will change with another group. This is how the Japanese culture of queuing up and leave the area so that everyone has the chance to experience the Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination.
Caretta Shiodome Winter Illumination 2019 is a must visit if you are in Tokyo. It is one of the main highlights for Christmas Illumination in Tokyo for 2019. You can also check out the Caretta Shiodome Mall too. Check out our other Tokyo stories at https://www.placesandfoods.com/category/japan/japan-tokyo
