The Tallest Building In The World Burj Khalifa Dubai
The Tallest Building In The World Burj Khalifa Dubai
This year, we went to South Africa for holiday and we transited in Dubai. Like many other travellers, we extended our transit and paid for the extension. It is undeniable Dubai is one of the most attractive destinations in Middle East and one of the must see attraction is the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa.
Our Petronas Twin Tower is the tallest twin tower in the world and it was once the tallest building in the world too. The Burj Khalifa is the current tallest building in the world since 2010. The next tallest building will be Jeddah Tower and it is expected to be ready in 2021/2022.
Getting to Burj Khalifa
Depending where you stay in Dubai, the easiest way to visit the Burj Khalifa is via the metro (train). The nearest Metro Station is Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall Station and it is around 10 minutes walk to the tallest building in the world. The Burj Khalifa is located next to Dubai Mall and it is a huge shopping mall with many retail stores and many popular restaurants. The walkway from the Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall Station to Burj Khalifa is an elevated walkway with air conditioner so whether it is very convenient even in summer.
You need to walk to Dubai Mall first and then you will be connected to Burj Khalifa. Please ask for assistance when you are in Dubai Mall.
You can purchase the ticket at the ticketing counter or you can purchase it online via Klook.com so you can beat the queue and manage your time wisely. There is limitation of the visitors per session so you might be disappointed if the session is full when you want to purchase the tickets on the spot. Depending on season, the queue can be very long too so we prefer to manage our time wiselt and purchase our ticket online via Klook.com at https://www.klook.com/en-MY/activity/2228-burj-khalifa-observation-deck-dubai/?aid=602
There are exhibits, videos and information on the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa and there are a few interactive sections too before you reach the elevator.
Watch the video and you will know it takes a while to take elevator from the ground floor to the 124 floor. Once you reach to At The Top of Burj Khalifa, there is an outdoor viewing area and the rest are indoor viewing area.
There are two levels of viewing area so you can walk up and down as many times as you like. Please take note it can be quite busy up there and the best time to visit in our opinion is late afternoon so you can enjoy the sunset, the magical hour and the night view of Dubai.
The glass panel is reflective so you have to be smart in taking photos especially during sunset.
The view At The Top of Burj Khalifa is beautiful and you can spot The Palm Island, the 6 Star Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Hotel and the city of Dubai. How the city transformed from the dessert to a skyscraper city.
The experience here is eye opener as the landscape is different than the usual cities as part of this city is still dessert.
We might come back again in the future, maybe ten years later and compare what has changed. If you are in Dubai, this tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa is a must visit. It is once in a lifetime experience. Book this with Klook at https://www.klook.com/en-MY/activity/2228-burj-khalifa-observation-deck-dubai/?aid=602
