We just heard the news from our travel agency friends. All group tours to and from China have been suspended until further notice as the travel advisory memo was sent to travel companies yesterday. China suspends all inbound and outbound group tours due to the Wuhan virus.

china suspends group tours

This drastic measure to restrict inbound and outbound group tours surprised many travel agencies including our local travel companies and hence many Malaysian travellers were stranded in airport yesterday as China suspends all inbound group tours.

China also suspends all outbound group tours which means Chinese citizens are not allowed to travel abroad at the time being. The Chinese government also restrict travels within the country.

China is trying to stop the spread of the Wuhan virus by suspending all inbound and outbound group tours. This means there will be no more China tourists to Malaysia until further notice.

Currently, there are three people infected by Wuhan Virus and they are currently in Sg Buloh Hospital for treatment. If you are unwell, please do visit the clinics rather than the hospitals in our opinion. Do remember, we still have the Influenza A outbreak and the symptoms are similar to Wuhan virus.

What we know now is many Chinese New Year events and celebrations are called off in many cities in China and also in Macao and Hong Kong. The Disneyland Shanghai is closed down at the moment until further notice.

We applaud the move by China to suspend all inbound and outbound group tours as it restrict the movements of the Chinese citizens. We sincerely hope and pray for the victims and the people of Wuhan China.

If you read our previous blogs, we do have plan to visit China this year. We are currently monitoring the progress of this Wuhan virus outbreak as it might affects our travel to China later this year.

We sincerely hope and pray for the victims and the people of Wuhan China. Pray for Wuhan China.
