Passport with Tourist Attraction Stamp Denied Boarding to Thailand
We read about this on Facebook and it happened hours ago. Traveller Tina Sibley posted on her Facebook that she was denied boarding her flight to Thailand due to Tourist Stamps in her passport.
This is what she posted on her Facebook posting.
DO NOT GET THESE TOURIST STAMPS IN YOUR PASSPORT!

I’ve just been denied boarding my flight to Thailand because of them. I’m gutted! 😭
Apparently they can invalidate your passport and immigrations are getting strict.

These tourists stamps are from Machu Picchu and it is popular among the tourists to stamp in their passports. Here is something you should know about your passport.
Malaysian passport holders are reminded that they are not allowed to write any notes or any unofficial stamps or any stickers on the pages of the travel document. This is illegal and consider tampering your passport.
This is not the first case with passport tempering case as four years ago, The Star Online reported a Taiwanese added Hello Kitty sticker to her passport when she visited Puteri Harbour Sanrio Hello Kitty Town in Johor and she was asked to apply a new passport.
According to the post, Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association president Datuk Albert Tan said the same rule applied in Malaysia.
We did the same mistake many years ago when we stamped the ‘Golden Triangle’ tourist stamp in our passport but we didn’t travel that often that time so we didn’t get into trouble.
From these scenarios, please make sure you do not write any notes or any unofficial stamps or any stickers on the pages of the passport or else might have to apply a new passport.
