Thai AirAsia X (XJ) will be waiving flight alteration fees and offers credit account redemption for passengers traveling between Bangkok and Seoul, South Korea as well as the Japanese destinations Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya and Fukuoka in light of health advisories related to the COVID-19 virus.

These are for Thai AirAsia X flights between Bangkok and Seoul, South Korea as well as the Japanese destinations Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

The offer is VALID for travellers who booked with Thai AirAsia prior to 20 February 2020 and for travel until 31 March 2020. Applicable options are as follows:

  1. Move Flight: One-time flight change to a new travel date on the same route subject to any fare difference, seat availability and blackout periods; OR
  2. Credit account. Retain the value of your fare in your AirAsia BIG Loyalty account for future travel with AirAsia. The online credit account is to be redeemed before the travel date for booking within 180 calendar days from the approved date for your travel with us. The actual travel dates can be after the expiry date as long as our flight schedule is out.

Please be acknowledged that the options will be effective for only the requests submitted from 16.00 hrs [GMT+7] on 22 February 2020 onwards. 

Guests who wish to access one of the options must notify the AirAsia no less than 7 days prior to their flight date, except for passengers scheduled to depart between 22 and 29 February 2020 who must notify the AirAsia by 26 February.  Guests will be subject to terms and conditions as set by the airline and any differences in booking fare.

Those wishing to receive the alternative offers can send a request via AVA at support.airasia.com. Any bookings made through travel agents including online travel agents must be done via travel agents from which the booking was made.
