Why This Thai Event Never Stop Impress Us
Why This Thai Event Never Stop Impress Us
We recently visited Singha Park Balloon Fiesta in Chiang Rai and it is getting bigger and better. While many events in Malaysia and Singapore is either postponed or cancelled, it didn’t stop the annual International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Singha Park Thailand. While most travellers are thinking whether it is safe to travel to Thailand, the Singha Park Balloon Fiesta 2020 never stop impress us by having one of the biggest events in Thailand despite the ongoing corona virus or Covid19 crisis.
The Singha Park Balloon Fiesta 2020 attracts mostly locals and more Western guests this year. The success of Singha Park Balloon Fiesta 2020 is due to the well management of the event as well as how discipline the guests behave in this event.
The last time we visited Singha Park Balloon Fiesta, we were impressed with how the Thais behave in terms of sharing the Gents toilets with the ladies and this time, it is how the well the event is managed from the start to the end of the event.
If you plan to hitch a taxi or Grab or drive to the event, there are designated parking spaces for guests. Then, you will need to purchase the tickets and get your arm bands.
The Singha Park hired hundreds of local songthaew (the parallel sitting trucks) to ferry guests from the carparks to the event area. Even though the is long, the wait is not long as the songthaew are constantly ferrying the guests. We never seen any events doing similar things like this in our life. The credit must go to the event organizer who invest in hiring these songthaew to make sure the guests are having short waiting time.
Once we reached the event area, everyone will need to get their body temperature measured one by one. We also needed to get thru the metal scanner and get our bags checked. There is no lacking in security measure this year. Not forgetting there are hand sanitizers in many parts of Singha Park Ball Fiesta 2020.
The amount of people attending this year’s event is more than we expected. You might be thinking people will be fear of attending event but Singha Park Balloon Fiesta 2020 proves us wrong. This year’s event is probably the biggest and largest ever with probably record attendance!
Talking about the virus fear amongst us but it never stopping people attending Singha Park Balloon Fiesta. This is one of the main reasons this Thai event never stop impress us or raised our eyebrows.
There are more food stalls, more hot air balloons, bigger stage for the live performances, more event spaces, more event booths, bigger new toilet and more shows.
This year, they offer ‘Khon’, Thailand’s classical, high art form of performance, a Ramakien episode of Brahmastra in the special performance of Khon Klang Plaeng.
Khon is Thailand’s classical, high art form of performance that dates back to the Ayutthaya era in Thai history. This is our first time seeing the show and it is very unique especially with their traditional art and movements.
You can chill and relax and enjoy the event all night long here at Singha Park Balloon Fiesta 2020. Despite not knowing what the Thai singers were singing but we really enjoyed the songs!
The event organizer improved their toilet facilities and hence it is lesser queue now to the toilets. This is what a world class organizer will do once to improve the event from year to year. Not forgetting, the toilets are still clean despite the huge guests!
Once the shows are over and this is the time thousands of guests will leave at once, hopping on the songthaew to their carparks.
Imagine this, the thousands of people including families and kids queuing up to the songthaew ferrying station together. Check out the aerial view on how the guests queuing up to wait for the songthaew.
There are no one jumping queue, everyone is queuing up peacefully and in discipline despite the long queue. This is something you hardly see in Malaysia or in many countries around the world. This type of behaviour and discipline is only existed in Japan and now in Thailand.
From the aerial view too, did you spot any rubbish or garbage around the event area. The event area is as clean as ever. This feels like an event in Japan but once again, this is in Thailand! As much as the event never stop impress us, how about the guests of mostly Thais.
You can say whatever what you can say about the Thais but the photos tell us everything about them. Well all know that Japanese are well behaved and well discipline but hey, Thais are well behaved and well disciplined too! This is the main reason why we never stop traveling to Thailand and Japan. They offer the same positive vibes and the best part is Thailand is the ‘Land of Smile’.
