There are three airlines that fly from Kuala Lumpur to Narita Airport Tokyo and they are ANA, Malaysia Airlines, Japan Airlines and AirAsia X. ANA, Malaysia Airlines and Japan Airlines fly from KLIA to Narita Airport while AirAsia X is flying from KLIA2.
The airfare for AirAsia X to Narita Airport is cheaper than from KLIA 2 to Haneda Airport in Tokyo. For first timer, they might not know that Narita Airport is actually located at Chiba Prefecture and not in Tokyo city like Haneda Airport. Hence, you have to options to reach Tokyo city which is either with JR Train or Shuttle Bus.
The fastest way from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station is via JR Train and the ticket for JR Express is 3270 Yen one way and the journey takes around 1hr 6 min. For the Shuttle Bus, it is priced at 1000 Yen one way and the journey will takes around 1hr 12 min. There are buses from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station every 30 minutes. Please ask the bus counter which bus stop number you need to wait. Remember, Japanese are very punctual and if you are late for a few minutes, the bus will drive off without you.
Please take note if you are flying off from Narita Airport in the morning, make sure you have enough time to travel from Tokyo to the airport. If your flight is early at Narita Airport, you can consider near the airport for lesser travel times.
