Breaking News! This is the official announcement by Ministry of Health Malaysia at their Facebook Page. There will Compulsory Quarantine at Government Quarantine Centres for travellers to Malaysia starting 24 July 2020. This will include returning Malaysians as well as foreigners as it is announced by Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob Senior Minister for Security and Minister of Defence.
The official statement is as below:
Bermula Jumaat ini, semua rakyat Malaysia termasuk warga asing yang dibenarkan masuk ke negara ini dikenakan kuarantin wajib di pusat-pusat kuarantin yang disediakan kerajaan.
-Menteri Kanan(Keselamatan) :- Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob Senior Minister for Security and Minister of Defence.
The Compulsory Quarantine at Government Quarantine Centres for travellers to Malaysia is expected as there are sightings of self-quarantine travellers in public for the past few days. There are also new COVID-19 clusters as well as increase of cases by import and local COVID-19 transmissions. Please wear your mask as we do not want to go for another round of Movement Control Order (MCO). Thank you.
