Ichiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise Isetan One Utama

This is one of the hidden sushi bars within the Eat Paradise at Isetan One Utama Shopping Centre (Old Wing). Ichiro Sushi Bar has been around for years and they have established themselves as popular sushi restaurants in Petaling Jaya.

Many of our friends recommended us to visit this sushi bar and hence we decided to visit Ichiro Sushi for lunch. It is a small sushi bar and this reminds me sushi bars in Japan.

We sat on the bar and they had iPads for menu and ordering and hence it is easier for everyone as there are limited space within the sushi bar.

For our lunch, we ordered assorted sashimi, salmon and ikura don and unagi and grilled salmon don.

The assorted sashimi for two people comes with two pieces each of tuna, cuttlefish, salmon and yellow tail fish. They are fresh and we really enjoyed the taste and texture of the sashimi. Please do take note that they served real wasabi. The assorted sashimi served is based on the fresh seafood available and it will be selected by the chef so what you order might be different than we shown here.

This is a beautiful bowl of salmon and ikura (salmon roe) don (rice). You need to mix everything together so you get the flavor from the fresh salmon, the salmon roe as well as the wasabi. You can taste the freshness of the salmon, the hints of saltiness from the salmon roe and the hints of spicy after taste flavor of the wasabi.

It is important for the salmon and the salmon roe to be fresh when you are having this and this reminds of the salmon and ikura don we had in Japan. This salmon and ikura don also comes with chawanmushi and miso soup.

This is another don we ordered and it is Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don. We know there are many people who are not a fan of sashimi or fresh seafood so this is a good option. Sweet and tasty unagi (eel) with lightly grilled salmon with rice.

Overall, we love the food at Ichiro Sushi Bar at Eat Paradise Isetan One Utama. The sashimi here is very fresh and what you pay is what you get in terms of quality of the food.

We hope they are doing well during CMCO as it is extended to 6 December 2020. Like we mentioned earlier they do takeways so you can order them from home. This is great spot for sashimi and sushi and we definitely will revisit again in the future.
